Nama Lokal

Nama lokal suatu spesies penting untuk diketahui karena akan sangat membantu dalam mengenal dan melestarikan spesies tersebut di habitat aslinya. Berikut ini saya coba kumpulkan beberapa nama burung yang ada di Indonesia.

Pycnonotus goiavier disebut juga Merbah cerukcuk dan dalam bahasa Jawa juga disebut terucuk atau cerocokan. Dalam bahasa Inggris burung ini disebut Yellow-vented Bulbul.

Pycnonotus bimaculatus dalam bahasa Indonesia disebut sebagai Cucak gunung.

Bahan Berkhasiat untuk Kesehatan

Procyanidin : Bahan ini terdapat di dalam red wine, dan diketahui berkhasiat untuk mengurangi resiko terjadinya serangan jantung. Termasuk dalam golongan bahan polyphenol.
